1 The Human Rights Committee decided to extend the deadline for the submission of the second periodic report from 7 August 1987 to 9 April 1989.


2 In its concluding observations adopted in July 2006, the Human Rights Committee requested that additional information be submitted within one year, and set the date for the submission of the third periodic report at 1 August 2010.


3 The Human Rights Committee sent several reminders, and subsequently held consultations with the State party on 1 April 2008 (see A/64/40, vol. I, page 182). From 2008 to 2010, several reminders and requests for a further meeting were sent. The Committee decided in 2010 to send a letter to the State party, inviting it to reply to all concluding observations in its next periodic report (see A/65/40 vol. I (2010), at pages 166-167).
