REPORTING HISTORY

¹ On 3 October 1990 the Federal Republic of Germany notified the Secretary-General that through the accession of the German Democratic Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany, with effect from 3 October 1990, the two German states had united to form one sovereign state, to act in the United Nations under the designation “Germany”.

² In its concluding observations adopted in May 2004, the Committee Against Torture considered that the State party had provided information concerning the implementation of the Convention during the period covered by the third and fourth periodic reports, and recommended that the State party submit its fifth periodic report on 30 October 2007. The Committee also requested that additional information be submitted within one year.

³ The Committee Against Torture has made a request for further clarification (see A/62/44, page 91). On 25 September 2007, the State party submitted further information (CAT/C/DEU/CO/3/ Add.1). On 3 May 2011, the Committee made another request for further clarification (see A/66/44 (2011), at page 141).

⁴ In its concluding observations adopted in November 2011, the Committee Against Torture requested that additional information be submitted by 25 November 2012, and invited the State party submit its sixth periodic report by 25 November 2015.
