1 The former Yugoslavia had previously ratified CERD on 2 October 1967, CCPR on 2 June 1971, CESCR on 2 June 1971, CEDAW on 26 February 1982, CAT on 10 September 1991 and CRC on 3 January 1991. Subsequent to the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia, the Government of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia deposited with the Secretary-General notifications of succession to these treaties, with effect from 17 September 1991, the date on which it assumed responsibility for its international relations.
2 The initial, second and third periodic reports were submitted together as one document.
3 In its concluding observations adopted in February 2006, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women invited the State party to submit its fourth and fifth periodic reports in a combined report in 2011.
