1 The former Yugoslavia had previously ratified CERD on 2 October 1967, CCPR on 2 June 1971, CESCR on 2 June 1971, CEDAW on 26 February 1982, CAT on 10 September 1991 and CRC on 3 January 1991. Subsequent to the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia, the Government of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia deposited with the Secretary-General notifications of succession to these treaties, with effect from 17 September 1991, the date on which it assumed responsibility for its international relations.
2 In its concluding observations adopted on 22 November 2006, the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights requested that the State party submit a combined second, third and fourth periodic report by 30 June 2008.
