1 The initial and second periodic reports were submitted together as one document.
2 In its concluding observations adopted in May 2007, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women invited the State party submit its third and fourth periodic reports in a combined report in 2012.
3 The Committee had requested that the State party submit its combined third and fourth periodic report in 2012 [see footnote 2, above]. The Government of Niger submitted its third periodic report on 21 March 2009. The Committee subsequently requested that the State party also submit its fourth periodic report. The third and fourth periodic reports will be scheduled for consideration once the fourth periodic report has also been received (see A/66/38 (2011) at page 89).
