CEDAW Optional Protocol Article 8 Examinations Concerning Gender DiscriminationInformation is as of the 2009 annual report of CEDAW and any reports released by December 2009. Under article 8 of the Optional Protocol of CEDAW, the Committee may investigate allegations of grave or systematic violations of the Convention in a state party. Any reports by the Committee under article 8, or other state-specific discussion under article 8, that is published in the annual reports of CEDAW are contained in this section.
