Atits1028thand1029thmeetings,on10March1994,theCommittee , consideredpossibleamendmentstoitsrulesofprocedurewhichwouldtakeintoaccounttheworkingpaperithadadoptedin1993onthepreventionofracialdiscrimination,includingearlywarningandurgentprocedures.Duringthediscussionswhichfollowed,theviewwasexpressedthatitwastooearlytomakechangesintherulesofprocedureinordertotakeaccountofproceduresadoptedonlyveryrecently.TherewasariskthattheCommitteemightbelockingitselfintoruleswhichwouldsoonnolongerfititsneeds.ItwouldthereforebebetterfortheCommitteetohavemoreexperiencewiththeproceduresinquestionandtoamenditsrulesatalaterpointonthebasisofthatexperience.Atits1039thmeeting,on17March1994,theCommitteedecidedtopostponetoalatersessionfurtherconsiderationofproposalstoamenditsrulesofprocedure.20.
