3 The former Yugoslavia had previously ratified CERD on 2 October 1967, CCPR on 2 June 1971, CESCR on 2 June 1971, CEDAW on 26 February 1982, CAT on 10 September 1991 and CRC on 3 January 1991. Subsequent to dissolution, the Government of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia deposited with the Secretary-General notifications of succession, with effect from 17 September 1991, the date on which it assumed responsibility for its international relations.
