General Comments - Government ResponsesInformation for CAT, CEDAW, CESCR and CMW is as of the 2009 annual report; for CCPR is as of volume I of the 2009 annual report; for CERD is as of the 2008 annual report; and for CRC is current to the 2008 biennial report (A/63/41). Additional documents released by the treaty bodies by December 2009 are also included. The six treaty bodies periodically issue General Comments or General Recommendations, which are statements of interpretation of articles of the treaty or special thematic topics. Occasionally, states parties will submit comments or responses to these General Comments. Where these are published, they are included in this section.
